Day 1. Fly Arusha/ Mahale.

07h30 pick up from a hotel in Arusha, Transfer to Arusha airstrip for departure by shared charter to Mahale Mountains. Pick up on arrival and transfer to the camp for lunch. Afterwards proceed for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, one cannot help but be touched by their natural grace and anthropomorphic features. Although remote, a chimpanzee safari to Mahale. Dinner and overnight at Normad Tented Camp, at Fly Catcher Tented Camp or at TANAPA Bandas. 

Day 3. Mahale Mountains

07h00 Breakfast, 08h00 Chimpanzee tracking in the forest, Chimp tracking, forest walks, birding, boat trips, snorkeling, fishing and kayaks. Meals and overnight at Normad Tented Camp, at Fly Catcher Tented Camp or at TANAPA Bandas

Day 2. Mahale Mountains

07h00 Breakfasts. 08h00 Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. The hikes takes you to the chimp’s habitation areas are accessible and not strenuous, although being in good physical condition will ease the strain of walking through the jungle! Up close, observing the endangered primates is an once-in-a-lifetime experience. Meals and overnight at Normad Tented Camp, at Fly Catcher Tented Camp or TANAPA Bandas.

Day 4. Departure

07h00 Breakfast. 08h00 Transfer to Mahale airstrip for departure by shared charter flight to Kilimanjaro or Dar es Salaam. Met for assistance to connect onward International flight.
