Day 1: Kigoma & Transfer to Gombe.
Today, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Kibirizi port for your private boat to Gombe National Park at 10:00 a.m. Meet your guide/ranger for a briefing, and afterwards, proceed for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is the chimpanzee families that live protected within the park’s boundaries. Visitors walk deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, and dik-diks inhabit the dense forest, and a wide variety of tropical birdlife.

Day 3: Full-day Gombe Exploration.
Today, in the morning, you go for forest walking, bird watching and visit the Mkenge waterfall area. You might also opt for another Chimpanzee trekking or simply enjoy the natural beauty.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking.
After breakfast, you’ll start your chimpanzee trekking experience. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is the chimpanzee families. Visitors walk into the forest to observe and sit with the primates. In the afternoon, you can visit the Livingston Museum or enjoy other activities like kayaking.

Day 4: Gombe to Kigoma town and Ujiji tour.
In the morning, after breakfast, Chimpanzee trekking and forest walk, back to the guest house for lunch, after lunch, ride a boat back to Kigoma town. Pick up on your arrival and transfer to Ujiji village. Ujiji is the oldest town in western Tanzania, located about 6 miles (10 km) south of Kigoma. Ujiji is the place where Richard Burton and John Speke first reached the shore of Lake Tanganyika in 1858. It is the site of the famous meeting on 10 November 1871 when Henry Stanley found Dr David Livingstone and reputedly uttered the famous words “Dr Livingstone, I presume?” Livingstone, who many thought dead, as no news had been heard of him for several years. A monument known as the “Dr Livingstone Memorial” was erected here to commemorate the meeting. And then transfer back to the Hotel.
